Verified Longest Human Lifespan
Jeanne Calment of France holds the longest fully validated human lifespan record at 122 years and 164 days. This extraordinary verified record does not necessarily define the absolute biological limit of human lifespan.
Demographic Upper-Limit View
Based on demographic analyses of exceptionally long-lived populations, some researchers suggest that the upper range of human lifespan may be approximately 115 to 125 years under current conditions. This remains a research estimate rather than a universally proven biological limit.

Physiological Resilience Models
Researchers use blood biomarkers, physical activity data, and other biological indicators to assess how physiological resilience declines with age. Some models extrapolate a theoretical human lifespan range of approximately 120 to 150 years. These figures are model-based estimates, not observed human lifespan records.
No Proven Fixed Hard Limit
Some statistical studies argue that current evidence is insufficient to prove a single fixed hard cap for human lifespan. Although living beyond 128 years remains extremely rare under present conditions, statistical evidence does not entirely rule out the possibility of higher lifespans.
Conservative Realist View
The conservative realist view holds that without major breakthroughs that truly slow biological aging, dramatic lifespan extension is unlikely within this century. Rather than pursuing a higher age number alone, the greater goal is to extend healthspan so people can live healthier, more active, and more dignified lives.
